Brisbane Building Inspectors
Termite and timber pest inspections in Brisbane
Termites are one of the most common and costly problems in Brisbane homes. Our timber pest inspection looks for active termites, past damage, borers, wood decay and the conditions that make an attack more likely.

What the inspection includes
- Visual inspection of accessible interior, roof space, subfloor and grounds
- Sounding and probing of accessible timbers where appropriate
- Moisture readings and thermal imaging where useful [CONFIRM EQUIPMENT: thermal camera, moisture meter, termite radar]
- Checks of slab edges, weep holes and any termite barrier details we can see
- Trees, stumps, fences and garden timbers within 50 metres where accessible
Pre-purchase or annual check
Buyers usually book this with the building inspection. Owners book it on its own as a regular check: Australian Standard guidance recommends inspections at least every 12 months, and more often in high risk areas.
Independent advice
We inspect and report only. We do not sell termite treatments or barriers, so there is no reason for us to talk a problem up or down. Read more in our guide to signs of termites in Brisbane homes.
